2 cylinders, blue-printed so were all equal, held together with Loctite and fired with
Splitfire sparkplugs to give us an edge on the competition.

Low octane, standard gas station fuel mixed with Amsoil synthetic 2 cycle oil. 2 Litre fuel capacity.
The Boat:

The Other Boat

Flat bottomed runabout, 9'-6" long, 85 lbs.
Built by Ron France, Stoney Creek, Ontario

Top Speed: 54 mph and counting
The Props Various sizes of 3 bladed propellers.  All are hand made from stainless steel.  Some are rounded blades, some are cleavers.  Some are made by Dewald Props in Reading PA and some are made by Ron France in Stoney Creek, Ontario

Note - not all of this equipment is mandatory.  This is what I currently wear and I have never been injured since I started racing in 1981.

Life Jacket: Lifeline Competition Jacket
                  made from ballistic nylon and has
                  built in neck collar and leg straps
Driver Suit: Security Race Products
                  Kevlar Race Suit
                  The shell is made from ballistic
                  nylon and it is lined with 2 to 3
                  layers of 100% Kevlar depending
                  on the location of the suit.

Head: HJC LT-12, lightweight composite full face
           helmet, Snell 95 approved.

The boats also have a kill switch so that in the event that the driver is thrown from the boat it will shut down.
